Dosage form

Hard gelatin capsules of 300 mg in a polymeric can contained 50, 90 capsules.

Composition.

Dry extract of green walnut, contained iodine not less than 5000 micrograms/100 g, essential oils, malic and citric acids, naphthoquinone uglon, flavonoids, carotenoids, sterols, fats – up to 8% (contained not less than 60% for the most part of polyunsaturated fatty acids including linoleic acid), vitamin C, В. 1 capsule contains 15 micrograms of iodine.

Indications.

Adaptogenic, general health-improving food supplement and metabolic means.

It is additional source of bioflavonoids, vitamin С. It is applied as immunocorrector with venotonic effect in complex therapy of vascular disorders. Long-term application is recommended in complex treatment of mastopathy, when increased physical and mental load, neurotic states, syndrome of chronic tiredness, neurovegetative disorders, asthenic states after sustained diseases, as additional means for treatment acute respiratory disease (pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, etc.), for prophylaxis of iodinedeficiency alimentary states.

Contraindications.

Individual intolerance to the components, simultaneous application of iodic remedy.

Method of application and dosage.

Adults - 2 capsules 3-4 times daily during a meal washing down with water. Treatment course - -1 month, 3-4 times per year.

Application of «Tsar’s acorn-С» in treatment of the patients with viral hepatitises.

To evaluate effectiveness of «Tsar’s acorn-С», there were 2 groups of the patients with acute viral hepatitis A (VHА) and acute viral hepatitis В (VHВ), 2 control groups of the patients with VHA and VHB who have basic therapy. Effectiveness of «Tsar’s acorn-С» was evaluated according to the following criteria:

1. Clinical presentations :

• Duration of intoxication syndrome;
• Duration of jaundice;
• Normalization terms of the liver size;
• Presence of residual (hyperfermentemia, enlargement of the liver size);
• Development of complications .

2. Laboratory indices: Normalization terms of bili rubin in blood, alanine aminotransferase activity and prothrombin index.

3. Indicator of middle bed-day.

«Tsar’s acorn-С» has been indicated for patients with VHА and VHВ on the 2-nd day of stay in a hospital after results of biochemical blood research - 2 capsules 3 times daily during 15 days (when VHА) – 20 days (when VHВ). First group (I) - 24 patients with VHА who included «Tsar’s acorn» in their treatment. Second control group (II) - 21 patients with VHА who have basic treatment (detoxicated therapy, vitamins, hepatoprotectors and cholagogue).

«Tsar’s acorn» has anti-inflammatory and anti-edema effects, it stabilizes cell membranes, reduces capillary permeability, restores elasticity of the vessels, it has an antioxidant effect and blocks free radicals. Biochemical processes take part in pathogenesis of acute viral hepatitises - cell metabolism disorders, process intensification of lipids’ peroxidation with disorder of antioxidant protection which follows to improvement of the cell membrane permeability of hepatocytes. This results in redistribution of biologically active substances and favours hyperhydration and decrease of biological cell potential. Inflammatory and necrobiotic processes develop in the liver and this leads to appearance of cytolytic, mesenchymal - inflammatory and cholestatic clinical- biochemical syndromes. An inclusion of «Tsar’s acorn-С» in complex therapy for the patients with viral hepatitis is pathogenetically proved regarding the above-mentioned information. Application of «Tsar’s acorn-С» in complex treatment of the patients with acute viral hepatitis, which results in improvement of clinical disease indicators: reduction of intoxication duration, icteric period, normalization period of the liver size and biochemical indices, reduction of the period of bilirubin normalization in blood, activity of alanine aminotransferase and prothrombin index in comparison with control group of the patients who had pathogenetic treatment. Residual was often marked in the control group of the patients who are being discharged. Average stay of the patients in hospital who took «Tsar’s acorn-С» was less than 5,1 days (when VHА) and 4,3 days (when VHВ) if compare with control group.

Syrup in glass bottles of 100 ml.

Composition.

Syrup produced from a green walnut. It contains volatile oils, malic and citric acids, naphthoquinone uglon, flavonoids, carotenoids, vitamins В, microelements including iodine not less than 500 micrograms/100 g, monosaccharides (fructose, glucose)..

Indications.

It is adaptogenic , general health-improving food supplement, metabolic means, additional source of iodine, bioflavonoids. It removes negative symptoms in the patients with chronic venous insufficiency at the expense of capillary reinforced, venotonic and antioxidant effect. It is recommended when physical and mental load, neurotic states, syndrome of chronic tiredness, neurovegetative disorders, anaemic states after sustained diseases, as additional means for treatment acute respiratory diseases (pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, etc.), for prophylaxis of iodinedeficiency alimentary states, as an immunocorrector.

Contraindications.

Individual intolerance to the components. It is not recommended to take syrup when diabetes mellitus and together with iodic remedy.

Method of application and dosage .

Adults - 1 table spoon (15 ml) 2 tomes daily, children elder 12 years - 1 teaspoon (5 ml) daily during a meal (you should add the syrup to tea, dilute with mineral water). Treatment course - 1 month 3-4 times per year.

Study of the influence of food supplement «Tsar’s acorn» (syrup) on clinical symptomatology and life quality in patients with functional and organic venous insufficiency in course monotherapy.

Patients with chronic venous insufficiency were observed who have not less that 1-st stage of the chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) (according to classification СЕАР) at the age of 18 - 65, of both sexes.

Food supplement was indicated as 5 ml (1 teaspoon) 3 times daily after the meal with some water, treatment course - 21 days. Clinical symptomatology of patients corresponds to 1-4 classes (according to classification СЕАР) and followed with pain syndrome, edemas, «venous limping », it was observed that some patients have working capacity reduction without elastic compression or taking analgetics. Taking the food supplement «Tsar’s acorn» (syrup) during 3 weeks, it favours to effective removal of the main negative symptoms (pain, edemas, restriction of movement function).

The main pharmacodynamic effect of the food supplement «Tsar’s acorn» (syrup) should have anti-edema action realized at the expense of capillary permeability, venotonic and antioxidant effects. Marked analgetic effect stipulated with anti-inflammatory and anti-edema action of «Tsar’s acorn». Application of the syrup «Tsar’s acorn» favours to improvement of life quality of the patients with CVI and was not accompanied with side effects development.
